The New York State Education Department released graduation rates Wednesday for the Class of 2021.

They say 86% of students who first entered ninth grade in 2017 graduated four years later. That is up 1.3% from the year before, and it’s up 9.5% from 2012.

The graduation rate for Black students was up 2% last year, 3.5% for Hispanics, and 4.5% for Native Americans.
