The year 2022 is not a leap year, but Curtis Lumber is leaping into kindness this month.

The local building company has dubbed February "Leap of Kindness Month."

They’re inviting people throughout the Capital Region to head to any of their Eastern NY retail stores and buy or donate 2x4s for $8 each.

Curtis Lumber will deliver all the donated boards to Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren & Washington Counties for use in building a brand new home for a local family.

"Leap of Kindness Day" was started back in 2016 by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.

The goal is to encourage as many people as possible to do something kind for someone else on the extra day.
