Hochul: NY state parks had record 2021

The year 2021 was another record-setter for New York State Parks.

Gov. Hochul says New York’s state parks, historic sites, campgrounds and trails welcomed a record-setting 78.4 million visits last year. That’s an increase of more than 427,000 visits over 2020.

It was helped by the rebound of visitors at Niagara Falls State Park.

In 2020, international border tourism was stifled by to COVID-19 protocols.
