Everything on the City Line Cafe & Deli menu sounds good, and to think owner Shelley Albright never saw herself as a business owner.

The Mechanicville native went to school for accounting and marketing, and worked in the field until she had kids. While she was home, they started going to school, and a friend approached her about working in a cafe.

Growing up in Mechanicville, Albright thought Albany was the big city, and she knew that she would have a business here one day.

Then she and her husband spotted the sheltered City Tavern building on Broadway in North Albany.

In 2013, they got to rehabbing the building.

Following a three-year renovation, she opened and business is good.
