Saratoga Springs public safety commissioner discusses Gaffney’s troubles with owner

SARATOGA SPRINGS – The new public safety commissioner of Saratoga Springs is now getting directly involved in the issues surrounding a popular bar and restaurant.

Commissioner James Montagnino met with the owner of Gaffney’s Bar & Restaurant to try to reach some common ground.

He says the owners of other bars in the Caroline Street area have expressed their concerns after a number of issues involving Gaffney’s, including a fight from last Sunday, March 6, where three people were arrested, and three officers were injured.

NewsChannel 13 got a statement from the owner of Gaffney’s. It says they look forward to the positive conversations and that the business has always been committed to providing a safe environment for patrons and artists.
