The case of the man accused of killing Morgan Bates is going to the grand jury.
Ian Hasselwander is charged with second-degree murder, assault, strangulation and concealment of a corpse.
NewsChannel 13 has been reporting on the brutal details.
Police say Hasselwander strangled Bates with some sort of tie and stabbed her twice in the neck, killing her. He’s also accused of burying her body in Cherry Plain State Park.
Police discovered her body in the park last Sunday.
Hasselwander was due in court for a hearing Thursday evening, but that was canceled because the grand jury now has the case.
