MENANDS – The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society’s cat food pantry shelves were nearly emptied earlier this week, just minutes after opening.
They put out a call for help, and donations began pouring in.
Thanks to the generosity of the Capital Region, the animal shelter’s shelves are full again — and during these uncertain times, they want people to know there is a place where they can turn to if they are struggling to care for their pets.
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society typically gives out 3,500 pet meals at its pet food pantry each month. It’s a place where people can stop by once a month to help supplement their own pet food supply for free if they are struggling.
