A man from Hudson was rescued from a raging fire. However, he’s the one now facing charges.
It happened on Halloween night in Hamilton County.
State police called DEC forest rangers for help to find a missing 25-year-old man.
His family reported him missing and were concerned that he may be suicidal.
The man’s car was found at the trailhead for Blue Mountain, a popular hiking mountain in the Adirondacks.
They found his car, but rangers could not find him anywhere.
They searched throughout the night but came up with nothing.
They were called to a house fire the next day about a half-mile up the road. That’s where they found the missing man, unconscious on the floor of the home.
The man was pulled to safety. The homeowner was not home at the time.
The house is a total loss.
The unnamed man faces multiple charges – including arson and burglary.
