The New York State Limousine Safety Task Force met for the third time on Friday morning.
It was created following a deadly 2018 crash of a stretch limo in Schoharie, killing 20 people.
Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a bill, extending the task force.
The task force is working to issue a report and recommendations for safety improvements.
At its meeting – which was live-streamed – the 11 member group talked about protective safety equipment and measures.
They will review side impact protection, roll over protection, airbags, rearview cameras, feasibility of a crash test program and more.
This is the task force’s third meeting because their work was delayed in part by the pandemic.
