Now the Albany City School District is strongly recommending students and staff wear masks once again inside all school buildings.
The district is reporting 72 new cases this week, which is more than it saw in the first 16 months of the pandemic. The district is also urging everyone who is eligible to get fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Warren County is reporting 80 new COVID cases. That is the highest single-day count of cases in the county since January.
There have been 290 new cases over the last five days. Nine people in the county are in the hospital.
