Group in Maine town making sure every resident gets a birthday card

A small Maine town is showing birthday love to all their residents – one card at a time.

Twice a month, a group of friends makes it its mission to hand write cards to people in town for upcoming birthdays.

One of the organizers began this birthday card project because she thinks there’s nothing quite like getting a signed, sealed, delivered letter in the mail.

That’s a feeling she hopes every adult in Sullivan gets on their birthday, thanks to the town’s treasurer – who has every registered voter’s birthday on file.
It may be the only birthday wish some people in town get.
