Gillibrand calls for nearly $2 billion for nutritional programs for older adults

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is calling for almost $2 billion of funding to go to toward the Older Americans Act nutrition programs.
This comes right before Thanksgiving and on the 50th anniversary of the program.
The program offers affordable nutrition services for older adults across the country.
It will be done in senior centers and through home deliveries. The funding will be forwarded to local agencies.
