Warren County soldier reported MIA in 1950 honored in hometown

HAGUE – A local soldier who was missing in action for 71 years was honored Tuesday morning in his hometown of Hague.
Sergeant Howard Belden went MIA during the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir in December 1950 and then declared presumptively dead in 1953.
His remains were recovered in 2018 and identified this past October.
He will be buried with full military honors in Arlington Cemetery this Thursday.
