State police seize several animals from Montgomery County home

Several animals have been seized by state police in Fonda.
Police executed a search warrant at a home in the town of Root Friday morning.
They seized five cats and a dog.
Kelly Simpson, 44, and Cassandra Simpson, 19, are arrested.
The seized animals were turned over to an animal rescue organization.
State police say they previously surrendered 43 cats. Five of those cats needed veterinary care.
Both cases remain under investigation.
