Proctors in Schenectady drops mask requirement for patrons

SCHENECTADY – Proctors in Schenectady is dropping its mask requirement for patrons starting on Thursday.
The mask requirement has been in place since last August, when COVID cases were much higher.
Proctors say individual performers or events may still require them.
Patrons and staff can still wear a mask at any time.
A vaccination requirement for audience members was dropped in February.

In a statement online, Proctors said:
"Should health authorities issue policy changes in response to a change in COVID infection rates, Proctors reserves the right to comply with such changes and recommendations, including the reinstatement of mask wearing."
