An Albany man pleaded guilty Friday afternoon in a shooting death at a Cambridge motel.
Keith Libertucci is charged in the death of James May, 46, on August 28.
Libertucci told police he had been drinking and smoking cannabis for hours at the Motel Cambridge that day.
He says he was showing his shotgun to May, when it accidentally went off, shooting May in the chest and killing him.
The district attorney is asking for four to 12 years in state prison. The maximum sentence is five to 15 years.
