A Gloversville man is facing charges after allegedly abandoning a dog. Joshua O’Dell, 39, was arrested following an investigation after authorities received complaints of a stray dog.
Police believe O’Dell abandoned this dog two months ago at a seasonal residence.
It was determined the dog traveled 16 miles when it was found and was brought into the care of a local animal hospital.
The Doberman, which was renamed Bridget, has since passed away.
O’Dell is now facing charges of overdriving, torturing, and injuring an animal, and for failing to provide proper sustenance.
He is due back in Saint Johnsville Town Court at a later date.
