Schoharie Co. man charged in infant assault faces new charges for child pornography

A Schoharie County man accused of assaulting a baby last month is now facing new charges.

David Walker, 32, is now charged with three counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, as images with child sexual exploitation were discovered on his cell phone. The images were not of the infant, say police.

Walker was responsible for caring for the infant. He was charged with assault last month, after causing injuries that left the baby in critical condition at Albany Medical Center.

The baby has now been released, and their condition is improving.

Walker is due back in court on January 5.
