Study: Advanced prostate cancer diagnoses up in men

More men are being diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that is less likely to respond to treatments, says a new American Cancer Society study.

Prostate cancer – the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the United States – rose by 3% yearly from 2014 to 2019, after two decades of decline.

Researchers believe the increase is mostly driven by diagnoses of advanced disease.
