Baer’s career day leads Saints to emotional win over Iona

Michael Baer’s career day led the Siena men’s basketball team to an emotional 70-53 win over Iona Friday night at MVP Arena. The career-high 18 point, 12 rebound performance came just day after Baer’s father John passed away from bladder cancer. The team also lost honorary Saint and Tamarac senior Evan Franz to brain cancer on Monday, so it was only fitting to honor both men in the annual Coaches versus Cancer Suits and Sneakers game.
