Restaurants in and around Saratoga Springs will soon be cooking up some chowder.
The 24th annual Chowderfest will be held Saturday February 11th. Dozens of restaurants will serve up four-ounce samples of their best chowder for $2 apiece.
Discover Saratoga organizes it every year and its president Darryl Leggieri says, “we’re excited to return to the original model, a one-day event, which has received very positive feedback from participating locations.”
Chowderfest is the biggest party of the winter in Saratoga Springs and bars and restaurants put all hands-on deck.
Typically, as many as 40,000 people fill the downtown area. There’ll be free shuttles from the Saratoga Casino hotel to downtown and back from 10:30 to 5.
Hotels are offering discounted rates for those looking to make a night of it.
