NewsChannel 13 salutes Navy WAVES Specialist 2nd Class Ann Nalley of Rensselaer.
The wife and mother of six served in the 1940s, helping to decipher secret coded messages sent by the Japanese.
She was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation and World War II Victory Medal.
She passed away in 2006.
