There’s a new deal for public employees in Schenectady who want to buy a home.

The program is called Schenectady Saves.

It will be offered to all city of Schenectady, Schenectady County and city school district employees who are buying a home.

The new homebuyer will receive 20% of the commission as a rebate.

Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy says he wants to do what he can to help more people become homeowners.
