NewsChannel 13 salutes U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Carl Foss of Burnt Hills.
The now 96-year-old joined the Navy at age 17 in 1941, and spent most of his time in the Pacific on an ammo supply ship as a radar operator.
He was married for 72 years to his wife, Lee, and they raised two kids.
He also worked as an insurance salesman.
