We Salute You: John Paul Swinegar

NewsChannel 13 salutes John Paul Swinegar of Albany.

The husband and father of four served as a Boatswain’s Mate First Class in the Navy and Chief Petty Officer in the Coast Guard.

He was a survivor of the first aircraft carrier, the USS Langley, sunk by the Japanese on February 27, 1942.

He later worked for the post office.
