NewsChannel 13 salutes U.S. Navy Lieutenant Colby Matthews of Guilderland.
The husband and father of three is a 1999 Naval Academy grad.
He was a nuclear submarine officer in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during the 2000s.
He later pursued a graduate degree and went to work for General Electric.
