NewsChannel 13 salutes Navy Aviation Maintenance Specialist John Hughes of Cohoes.
He joined the Navy after high school in the 1960s and served during the Six-Day War on the USS Saratoga.
He was also on the Cohoes Zoning Board for 40+ years.
He still lives in Cohoes and has eight grandchildren.
