SUNY colleges to drop COVID-19 vaccine mandate

SUNY schools have already started updating Covid-19 guidance for students taking summer courses.

The Covid-19 vaccine will no longer be mandated for students to attend SUNY’s 64 campuses, effective for summer courses.
Now Covid-19 vaccines will only be strongly encouraged for students, which SUNY representatives say is consistent with other guidance on viruses, including the flu.
