NewsChannel 13 first featured the West Sand Lake woman two years ago, when she was running with her guide dog, Hero, during the pandemic.

Hale is blind. In all kinds of weather, she trains with coach and guide John Slyer, who is a retired teacher and runs the Sky High Adventure Center.

Hale says the most challenging thing is just getting out there and doing it.

Slyer says a lot of being a guide has come naturally.

NewsChannel 13 caught up with them outside the popular Lakeview in Averill Park.
