Virtual reality helping Maryland assisted living residents explore world

The Seneca Rockville, an assisted living community in Montgomery County, Maryland, is using virtual reality goggles to transport residents to foreign lands. It allows them safe adventures – whether it’s sightseeing in Greece or swimming with sharks.

The special headset places the wearer inside the 360° videos. It’s an immersive experience. Move your head or turn, and the scenery moves with you, making it feel like you’re really there!

The virtual experience is fun, and has positive health benefits for the residents. It helps memory and imagination and brings a sense of joy.
