Trooper Richard Albert left Ellis Hospital shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday, just six hours after being shot in the arm during a traffic stop on I-88 in Duanesburg.
He got a very warm reception from several other members of law enforcement.
NewsChannel 13 saw members of the Schenectady Police, Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police all there to show support.
The deputy superintendent with the New York State police confirmed Albert was shot in the arm. It’s not clear exactly where in his arm he was shot.
