Bad air quality lingers in Capital Region

An Air Quality Alert remained in effect in the Capital Region on Friday.
The alert is in effect as wildfire smoke from Canada continues to impact our area.
However, the worst of the air quality issues was on Thursday, First Warning Meteorologist Reid Kisselback said.
An Air Quality Alert – which was in effect until midnight on Thursday – has now been extended until at least midnight on Saturday.
