Victims identified in deadly weekend New Scotland house fire

Investigators have released the names of four family members – including a little girl – who died in a horrific house fire at 64 Normanskill Road in the town of New Scotland early Saturday morning.

They are Emily Neander, 5, Arthur Neander, 35, Rebecca Monterosso, 40, and Dale Donato, 64.

Anthony Thorne, 15, survived after jumping from a second-floor window.

A woman in the home called 911, said investigators, explaining there were five people in the house and that she was trapped in her room, investigators said.

Emergency responders worked as hard as they could, but the fire was fierce and moved quickly, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple Said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
