Truck hauling sand crashes into church garage in Petersburgh

A truck driver suffered minor injuries Thursday morning after a tractor-trailer crashed into a church garage in Petersburgh.

It happened around 8:15 a.m. State police say they got a call about an accident on Route 22 in Petersburgh. They say a truck hauling sand hit a garage on the property of the Petersburgh Baptist Church.

All the sand in the truck spilled out, police said.

The truck driver went to Albany Medical Center for evaluation.
