Church sponsors community bed build for those in need, looking for more volunteers to help

Volunteers came together once again in Mechanicville, to build beds for children in need.

It was being done at St. Luke’s on the hill, through the organization, Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
One church member says there is always a need and it’s important to bring people together for such a great cause.
The goal is to keep every child from having to sleep anywhere else other than their own bed.
Once a bed is built, it’s ready to be donated to a family in need.

The group has more than 350 chapters across the United States and Canada.
They aim to have one build and one delivery at least once a month.
And they’re always looking for more volunteers.
