Troy teen arrested in July homicide

A 16-year-old male has been arrested for the homicide of Alexander Crawford, according to Troy Police Assistant Chief, Steve Barker.

Crawford, 39, was shot and killed in the area of 102nd Street and 2nd Ave. in Lansingburgh the evening of July 2.

The teen was arrested in the City of Rensselaer and taken into youth custody, Barker said. This is Troy’s only homicide of the year.
