BALLSTON – A Ballston man is accused of intentionally setting his apartment on fire.

David A. Fink, 27, has been charged with felony counts of second-degree arson and first-degree reckless endangerment.

State Police say he started the fire at an apartment complex on Dominic Drive at about 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday. The Ballston Spa Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.

Saratoga County and New York state fire investigators determined the fire to be suspicious. In addition, they found that the fire suppression system and fire alarms in Fink’s apartment were disabled before the fire was started.

Fink was located later in the day outside the apartment complex and arrested. He was transported to State Police station Saratoga for processing and then arraigned at the Ballston Town Court.  Fink was released under the supervision of the Saratoga County Probation Department.

Four people were displaced by the fire. No one was injured.
