Boil water advisory issued for parts of Lansingburgh affected by water break

A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Troy affected by the large water main break in Lansingburgh.

Crews are trying to repair a 30-inch cast iron water main on 124th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues that broke. The advisory affects the “Low Service Area,” including Lansingbugh, Pleasandale, North Central, downtown and the South Troy neighborhoods.

People are being asked to conserve water as crews work to repair the break.
