Boy, 14, drowns while tubing on Schroon River in Warrensburg

WARRENSBURG – State police tell NewsChannel 13 a 14-year-old boy drowned while tubing on the Schroon River Friday afternoon.

Police say Owen Harrington of Warrensburg fell off his tube after striking a drowned tree and went under water near Schroon River Road.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

State police say they expect to release more information on Saturday.
