Kids in Northampton get firsthand lesson in forest ranger responsibilities

Forest rangers in Northampton spoke to children about the duties and responsibilities of forest rangers.
They showed off the ranger airboat and the equipment used in search and rescue operations.
Ranger David Nally focused on wildfires, displayed different hand tools, and then let the children spray water pumps rangers deploy during wildland fire suppression efforts.
They also spoke about how to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.
