The Supreme Court is looking to challenge a New York ammunition law that went into effect just a couple of weeks ago.
The new regulations require background checks for all gun and ammo purchases, and those checks come with a fee for the customer.
Now, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is opposing those new steps, and he plans to bring the case to the court next month.
Gov. Kathy Hochul believes the law is constitutional, she said.
