Albany Police believe homicide victim knew suspect

Albany Police said the victim of a Sunday morning homicide knew the suspect.

Officers responded to the area of North Swan Street and Third Street at about 11:15 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Police recovered evidence at the scene.

A short time later, officers located the 30-year-old gunshot victim at Albany Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are withholding the identity of the victim until the family is notified.
