Police: Cobleskill man struck person with hammer after illegally entering home

A Cobleskill man has been arrested for allegedly striking a person with a hammer.

State Police said Dennis C. Taylor, 37, entered a home on Spring Street in Cobleskill on Oct. 4 at about 11 a.m. Taylor got into an argument with the resident. He then struck and injured the person, who was transported to the hospital for evaluation, according to a news release.

Taylor was charged with felony counts of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault. He was processed at the Cobleskill State Police station and then sent to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
