Shenendehowa disciplines student for flushing Israeli flag

A student at Shenendehowa High School was disciplined for taking an Israeli flag from another student and then flushing it down the toilet.

The incident was recorded by another student and shared on the Snapchat social media app.

It shows the student forcibly take the small flag from another student’s backpack. At the end, the video then cuts to a shot of the flag in the toilet.

The district on Wednesday confirmed that the matter was investigated and “appropriate consequences” are being rendered per the district’s code of conduct.

“The District is committed to creating and maintaining a working and learning environment that is free of discrimination and intimidation and every individual is treated with dignity and respect. The district has always stood and will continue to stand against hatred, bigotry, bullying, or harassment.”
