Gansevoort man charged in two armed robberies in Glens Falls

Glens Falls Police have arrested a 28-year-old Gansevoort man in connection with two armed robberies that took place in January.

Joshya Heym is accused of walking up to the victims, displaying a handgun and demanding money, according to a news release. The robberies took place in the area of Larose Street and Broad Street in the early morning hours of Jan. 10.

Detectives and the New York State Division of Parole worked to obtain information that place Heym at the scene and led to him being identified as the suspect.

Heym was arrested and held on a parole warrant. He was charged with two counts each of robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

Heym was arraigned in Glens Falls City Court on Tuesday and turned back over to the Department of Corrections.
