Whitehall man charged in stabbing

A Whitehall resident has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man.

Miguel Medrano-Garcia, 27, is accused of assaulting a man with the weapon. The victim was attempting to intervene in a domestic dispute Medrano-Garcia was having on Broadway in the village of Whitehall, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.   

The victim was treated at Glens Falls Hospital for his injuries.

Medrano-Garcia was charged with second-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. He was arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment Court and held in lieu of bail. Bail was set at $1,000 cash, $2,500 secured bond or $5,000 partially secured bond.
