Poll: Residents concerned about migrant influx to NY

More than eight in 10 New York registered voters said the influx of migrants is a serious problem for the state, according to a new Siena poll.

The poll found that 57% of voters said the problem is very serious, which is up slightly from 54% in August. Nearly two-thirds of those surveyed said New Yorkers have done enough for migrants and must now work to slow the flow of migrants.

This is compared with 29% who said the state should accept and work to assimilate them.

A total of 58% of New York voters agree with Mayor Eric Adams that the migrant issue “will destroy New York City.”
