The Union Avenue construction project in Saratoga Springs has been completed months ahead of schedule.

The street now has a new sidewalk and bike lanes.

These new additions will allow people to get to the track safely on foot or while biking, Gov. Kathy Hochul said.

DOT also repaved and added drainage pipes to a stretch of the road to reduce water runoff.

The project was originally scheduled to be finished next spring.
