For the 5th year in a row, the city of Amsterdam held its annual Pumpkin Smash at Veterans Park.

People did their part to keep pumpkins out of the landfill.

There were 4 smashing stations and a variety of tools to choose from, including wooden mauls and handheld dead blow hammers for the younger crowd.

The event was put on by Compost Works.
