You probably remember Thatcher Marra – a trick-or-treater from Glens Falls with a lot of integrity. 

His act of kindness was caught on video this past Halloween. Now the little boy who wants to be a plumber was honored by his community and the New York State Legislature on Tuesday evening.

Thatcher walked up onto a porch Halloween night, realized nobody was at home, and wondered what other trick-or-treaters would do if they came to the same house and found there wasn’t any candy for them.

So Thatcher dug down deep into his own bag of candy, and left it on the doorstep for other kids.
The act of kindness was captured on the home’s doorbell security camera.

More than 10,000 people saw what had happened once the homeowner posted the video on social media.

After NewsChannel 13’s Stella Porter did the story, some of the people who saw the report were members of local 773 of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. The union honored him Tuesday night, and representatives from the New York State Legislature, Senate and Assembly were in attendance.
